Blueberry Hill Family Restaurant (Flamingo/Sandhill, Las Vegas) | Breakfast Edition
Blueberry Hill had to be my first restaurant feature because this is the one we frequent the most. We've been living and working in Las Vegas for almost eight years now and due to having lots of morning work appointments, we've always grabbed breakfast outside. If we happen to be in the vicinity of this place then we're definitely having brekkie here. While they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I can only confidently vouch for their breakfast because I don't think I've eaten anything else at Blueberry Hill. Let's just call this the Blueberry Hill Breakfast Edition.
Blueberry Hill has several other locations which, interestingly, are all on Flamingo Road. The one we like the most is on the corner of Flamingo and Sandhill. It's also the closest to home. They are usually bustling in the mornings so their breakfast is probably what they're most known for. Decor-wise, the place gives off old diner vibes with retro pink booths and stools along with purplish pink and blue tile that runs throughout the whole restaurant.
Having been regulars for a while, we recognize many of the waitresses. Quite a few of them have worked there for years and all of them have exuded nothing but warmth and friendliness. On any given day, service is usually fast and the wait for food is relatively short. The only day we noticed a slower wait time was on Valentine's Day but they were swamped so it was to be expected.
They have a very extensive menu with at least 4 pages dedicated to just breakfast. I've ordered a variety of things off their breakfast menu and so far none have been disappointing. Three years ago, my favorite item to order was the corned beef hash skillet but these days, I go with what I feel. Usually, it's an omelette of some sort or french toast. My hubby-to-be, Chris, really likes their breakfast meatloaf (yes, meatloaf) along with a side of fluffy pancakes. The meatloaf sits atop a large biscuit and is smothered in white gravy. Alas, I don't have a photo of the monstrosity but suffice it to say, it makes for a very satiating breakfast. If you're feeling more basic, I highly recommend their pancakes or one of their omelettes. All in all, this is one of our favorite restaurants in Vegas, and if you're looking for a good breakfast place off the strip, come and give this place a shot. Queue the food pics.
